We're delighted to present a new route map to our collection! The St Cuthbert's Way is a 100km (62.5 mile) walk that takes in some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Borders region. Starting in Melrose the walk heads east to finish on Holy Isle and takes those undertaking the walk on a journey through the life of St Cuthbert, a monk, hermit and later Bishop in the 7th Century.
The walk can be done in 4 days or longer, the walk goes through many villages and towns where accomodation and food can be taken.
The Map we've created covers the whole distance of the walk on one sheet using Ordnance Survey's 1:50,000 scale mapping. The route itself has been highlighted to ease navigation, you'll also see some of the other popular walking routes in the area which sometimes cross paths with the St Cuthbert's Way, including the Borders Abbey Way, the Southern Upland Way, and the Northumberland Coast Path.
As usual we offer a number of paper finishes for the map - starting with the most practical folded paper version for use on the trail. This version folds to a handy 18cm x 12.5cm which will fit in a pocket for ease of use on the Route. We can also produce a range of Flat maps in standard paper, Satin Photo Paper, or with a Laminate applied. These versions make ideal wall maps for planing the route, or if you have a business in the area and want to promote the route these lovely maps make great talking points.
We'd love to hear what you think of the map, and if you have a favourite route that you would like mapped please get in touch and we'll see what we can produce for you.
